SportWell's certified athletic trainer meets students one-on-one to perform clinical services including: prevention, evaluation, treatment and reconditioning of sports/exercise-related injuries. An emphasis is placed on the student’s self-management of his/her problem. SportWell offers physical therapy on a limited basis to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign students suffering from general musculoskeletal problems. The therapist works with students one-on-one in the rehabilitation of injuries and problems not requiring surgery. A referral from a McKinley provider is required for an appointment. SportWell’s team of a certified athletic trainer and a physical therapist offers individual appointments in injury prevention and treatment for athletic/exercise related and general musculoskeletal injuries and problems.
